Corena Hammer
dharma, path and purpose.
Early Foundations: Corena’s path began with a deep study of yoga’s potential to release trauma physically, not just emotionally. What started as personal exploration quickly evolved into a reputation for teaching others how to unlock the body’s own healing intelligence. Her classes became known for real change—not just insight, but integration.
Bridging Innovation & Science: At Duke University, she taught Nike executives energy management and internal alignment. After a decade of certifying many professionals at her studio, she founded Clinical Yoga Institute, where she has trained and certified over 100 therapists in trauma-informed somatic methods backed by IRB research completed on her company. Her protocols are now a preferred resource for therapists working within the Utah Department of Juvenile Justice. She recently began work on First Supporters, a site for parents, teachers, friends of those who've been affected by trauma after events such as school shootings.
Removing Trauma From The Body: Corena Hammer is a pioneer in removing trauma from the body. With over three decades of experience, she has created a bridge between clinical expertise and ancient wisdom—helping people access what’s holding them back and clear it at the root.

“I have a deep love and commitment to transformation and believe it is part of my dharma, or calling, in my life to teach it.”
~ Corena Hammer
Tapping Into The Subconscious Corena developed Nervous System Recalibration (NSR™) Process—a powerful system rooted in Polyvagal Theory and the chakra system (which she teaches as Nervous System Developmental Centers™). It’s a step-by-step approach to removing subconscious blocks stored in the body, often after trauma, betrayal, grief, or long-term stress. The results go far beyond what CBT talk-based approaches often offer.
Empowering Transformation Her clients include psychologists, therapists, CEOs, A-list actors/performers, and change agents who are ready for real alignment. She’s been a keynote speaker, an executive mentor, and a trusted guide for leaders who sense that something deeper is blocking their clarity, confidence, or creative power—but can’t access it through traditional means.
She was one of Utah’s first RYT-500 teachers, trained Nike’s exec Team Xcelerate at Duke, and was selected as the first Brand Ambassador for Athleta under the GAP name. She led the first public yoga classes at City Creek Mall, opening doors where they were previously closed, and serves on the board of Perpetuate Peace to support wellness in underserved communities.
Her humanitarian work has brought her to Africa, Thailand, and Cambodia—proof that her commitment to healing is not only professional, but global and deeply personal.
Success Needs Somatics™: Whether you’re a therapist in private practice, a coach building your signature method, or a leader guiding a team—you’re shaping more than just outcomes. You’re shaping nervous systems.
Corena’s work is available through professional trainings, private sessions, and C-suite integration programs that bring clarity, regulation, and deeper alignment to individuals and organizations alike.
